Co-op brands register their presence at 41st IITF; Kerala leads the pack

Stalls of the cooperative sector at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan are drawing a huge number of footfalls. Some of the top co-op brands at the Fair include Amul, Trifed, Jharkhand based Aiysha Handloom Weavers Cooperative, Himachal Pradesh based Manu Weavers Cooperative Society, Bhutti Weavers Cooperative Society, Department of Co-operation, Kerala and others.

Rajya Sabha MP from Kerala, A.A. Rahim will launch a few new products made by primary cooperative societies on Tuesday. The fair will last till 27th November.

When Indian Cooperative correspondent visited the stalls of co-ops, exhibitors were eager to share the positive feedback coming from visitors. “We are getting good response from visitors who are showing willingness to know about our products. We hope that by the end of the fair we will earn handsome profits”, said one of the stall exhibitors.

The Amul stall at the IITF is a big hit among visitors. Its products like burgers, pizzas, dark chocolates and coffee are attracting a large number of visitors.

However, this time there is no separate space allotted to co-ops; they are showcasing their products at their respective state pavilions.

The Kerala Co-op department informs that for the 41st India International Trade Fair (IITF-2022), Kerala is selected as a focus State. Various govt. Departments from Kerala have opened stalls to showcase their products.

The Department of Co-operation has two stalls, one for sales and the other is the theme stall. “We are mostly concentrating on products manufactured and marketed by various primary agricultural co-operative societies in Kerala. The products include coconut oil, spices, food items and many other items as well”, says Alex Vargees, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies in the state.

Power Gilt Treasuries, which deals in Indian Fixed Income Debt Market and do Portfolio Management of Provident Fund Trusts and Corpus Fund of Cooperative Societies, has also set up its stall at the SEBI counter.

Vineet Nahata, Director Power Gilt Treasuries Inc, facilitated SEBI Executive Director V Sunderasan who inaugurated Power Gilt Treasuries pavilion at SEBI arena in IITF.
