Pramod Kumar Singh the high-profile cooperator from Uttrakhand has been felicitated by the Chief Minister Harish Rawat at a function in Haldwani last week. Mr Rawat congratulated him for taking the state on national map so far as cooperative movement is concerned.
Several state ministers including finance minister Indira Hardarsh , cooperation minister Yashpal Arya were present along with the CM to honour Mr Singh.
Pramod Singh who is credited with launching new cooperative schemes every other day in the state is both on the board of national apex cooperative body NCUI and that of the largest farmers’ cooperative IFFCO.
The event was also graced by Sanjiv Arya, Chairman of State Cooperative Bank, several chairmen of district cooperative banks.
Calling Pramod Kumar Singh as the Bhisma Pitamah of cooperative, the Chief Minister said that we expect him to carry forward the good work done in the past so that the state as well as nation benefit from the cooperative movement.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Singh promised to CM and his ministers that the cooperative would never fail in delivering its services to the farmers of the state. “We would try our best to solve their problems at every stage of farming”, added Mr Singh.
An overwhelmed Singh vowed to do everything possible to make cooperative movement a huge success in the state.
