Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah has bestowed State Export Excellence Award upon the swadeshi chocolate co-operative Campco in a function organized by the Visveswaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC)in the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru last week.
VTPC is the Nodal Agency of the State Government of Karnataka for selection and conferring awards for the Exporters for the Best Export Award. Campco received the award for the Export of its Drinking Chocolate to African Countries.
S.R.Satishchandra, President CAMPCO received the award from the Chief Minister of Karnataka in the presence of Minister for Large and Medium Industries & Infrastructure Development R.V.Deshpande besides other key dignitaries.
The Award was bestowed in recognition and encouragement of exporters who have excelled in exporting their products and it is a matter of pride for Campcon – a farmers’ cooperative, reads a Campco press release.
It is for the second time that Campco is receiving this Award. Set up in the year 1973 by Late Varanashi Subraya Bhat for the cause of the farmers Campco laid a strong edifice in forming this gigantic Cooperative and also later installed the Campco Chocolate Factory which produces Swadeshi Chocolates and Drinking Chocolate, concludes the release.
