Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Union and National Cooperative Union of India have recently organized a three-day training program for cooperators associated with milk cooperatives of the state.
The training program was held at the state union training centre in Raipur. The program was attended by over 38 representatives of milk cooperative who came from different districts of Chhattisgarh.
While addressing the trainees, Jhumnum Gupta Chairman of State Cooperative Union said, “Farmers and cattle rearers are the biggest scientists in their fields. They have the knowledge of ground, which is not there in books. He said this in his valedictory remarks on the occasion.
During the training program, the detailed information was provided by experts regarding various aspects of cooperatives as well as increasing milk production, improved animal husbandry and animal health.
On the occasion, Dr Sushobhan Rai, in-charge of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Kamdhenu University, Anjora and Dr. Associate Professor of Veterinary College, Bilaspur shared their views on increasing milk production.
Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Union Chief Executive Officer VK Shukla also gave information about how to operate cooperative society, business development, cooperative legislation and cooperative rules.
The participants were provided with a platform to interact with one another.
During the training programs, recently returned after taking training National Cooperative Union of India, Smt. Shobha Chahil, Member of the Association, shared her experiences of Delhi with the trainers.
The trainees shared their experience of training and said that by taking advantage of the training, they will be able to develop their committee better. They thanked the State Cooperative Union and National Cooperative Union of India for imparting training.
It is being reported that 911 primary level milk cooperatives and around 500 societies are active in Chhattisgarh.
