Changing Times: Indian Cooperative dons New Look

Keeping pace with changing times, the cooperative news portal- Indian Cooperative has gone for a face-lift. “The new look should appeal to our readers”, said the Editor of Indian Cooperative Ajay Jha.

Explaining the benefits of the new look Indian Cooperative Technical Head Harsh Ranjan said it is compatible both with I-phone and Android platforms. The portal would open up much easily on mobile handsets, Ranjan who has won several awards for his novel experiments added.

The portal in its new avatar has huge scope for effective display of stories. The formats of stories and related photographs are looking much better now, revealed a group of readers whom Indian Cooperative invited to its office to gauge public reaction.

The number of stories on display on Indian Cooperative has also multiplied. Earlier, there would be just 15 stories which included Latest News, Featured Story, Co-operative Snippets, Co-operative Coffee House and others. Now you can display more than two dozen stories at any given time, claimed Harsh Ranjan.

Explaining further Harsh said when a reader selects any category, say NCUI or IFFCO- a separate page opens up which throws last four stories with photographs on the page. It was not so in the old format, added Harsh.

The issue of navigation which is held as the soul of a web portal has also been taken care of in the new portal. Readers can navigate the maze of news by simply clicking on the category displayed at the top of the Home Page.

“Not only that, even the advertisements look much better on the news portal now”, said Rohit Gupta Principal Correspondent of Indian Cooperative. Categories like Photo Gallery or Video Section are also being spruced up.

Congratulating the Indian Cooperative team in general and its Technical Head Harsh Ranjan in particular Indian Cooperative Editor said the true success of the portal’s new look depends on readers reaction. “We would be glad to receive readers’ feedback”, he added.
