Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is paying particular attention to the issue of paddy procurement in the state.
He has detailed his officials to ensure paddy procurement takes place without any problems. Enforcement officers are being posted at the state food centers to provide the primary agriculture credit societies with necessary certification for the paddy procurement from the farmers.
Both the cooperative banks and the state food centers are being given Rs. 400 crore each to enable them to procure grain from the farmers.
Nitish Kumar has asked all the agencies responsible for the paddy procurement to do their job with utmost dispatch and devotion so that the targets set are achieved.
All the top government officials are being directly involved in the procurement work.
