In a bid to fulfill PM Narendra Modi dream of making India a cashless economy, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank chairman Ashok Bajaj has distributed mPOS machines to the customers having current accounts in the bank.

At the time of demonetization several cooperative banks had come under the radar of the Income tax dept because they indulged in irregularities accepting old currency notes. However, as if by way of making amends for their behaviour in the past, these banks are making their utmost efforts towards making India a cashless economy.

As per the press release sent to Indian Cooperative, the Bank has distributed mPOS machines to the customers having current accounts. Sushma Electricals, Sai Baba Electricals, Yogendra Sahu, Alok Provision Store and several other customers figure in the list.

On this occasion the chairman of the apex bank congratulated the customers and encouraged them to use cashless transactions in their activities.

Branch Manager Ajay Bhagwat, D.R.Badhamarey, A.K.Purohit, J.S.Thakur and many others were present on the occasion, read the press release.
