Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Urban Banks and Credit Societies’ Federation have urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to make necessary amendments to the Cooperative Societies so as to bring it in line with the 97th constitutional amendment, reports Hindu.
Addressing recently a press conference, the federation leaders said there was an urgent need to make cooperatives stronger in AP.
The leaders also called for shifting the headquarters of Cooperative Department to Andhra Pradesh and minimal interference of government in the functioning of the cooperative urban banks, they said.
