In the wake of Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav resigning from Uttar Pradesh Cabinet and also from the position of the state party chief a tsunami of sorts has hit the cooperative sector as well.
Young cooperator and PCF Chairman Aditya Yadav who is the son of Shivpal has also reportedly resigned from the Chairmanship of Pradeshik Cooperative Federation- a body which was in the vanguard supplying agricultural inputs from seeds to fertilizers to the farmers of the state.
Shivpal’s wife Sarla also resigned from the post of District Cooperative Bank chairperson, Etawah. Efforts to seek Adiya’s response on the development have, however, failed so far.
Amidst fast-changing developments, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav is believed to have brokered peace in the family as one news report claimed “Yadav clan reaches a truce, Shivpal to get back portfolios” . The senior Yadav Mulayam Singh said his son Akhilesh and brother Shivpal could have no differences as long he is alive.
Meanwhile, social media enthusiast Aditya Yadav who is not only on the IFFCO Board but also on that of International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) has appealed to his followers to remain calm and not to harm one another. “You have to only present views in support of Shivpalji before the Netaji”, read his FB massage.
Aditya’s resignation from the PCF may disqualify him for the position on the IFFCO Board and also divest him of his ICA Directorship, said cooperative experts in the know of things. But truce between the warring Yadavs would prevail, they said.
Repeated SMS sent Saturday morning to Aditya drew a blank from him. Shivpal camp is perhaps weighing the offer made by Akhilesh Yadav. Never lagging behind in sharing their thoughts on social media the duo of Shivpal and his son has fallen silent as of now.
