Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has proved that Narendra Modi’s Cabinet colleagues are not distant and cold but they respond to every call should it come to their notice. The case in point is the minister’s reply to Indian Cooperative’s complaint on Face- book.
This correspondent complained about his portal not receiving formal media invite from his Ministry.
The ever alert Minister responded without losing time and instructed his Ministry officials to send invite to us without fail in future. He also forwarded us details including the name and phone number of official for future communication.
Singh also lauded the role being played by Indian Cooperative and said he read all its posts.
We produce below our complaint and Singh’s response as they appeared on FB
Ajay Jha: We r running the only cooperative news portal for the past 5 years without any support from the govt and get 1 lakh daily hits. But we feel sorry when we get no invite for PC from ur ministry. U can view the stories we have published of ur ministry in last fortnight by clicking on following links
Radha Mohan Singh: Yes, I regularly read your posts. Please get in touch with our PIB officer Sh. Sudhir Singh (Mob. 9213048053). I have instructed him as well.
Majority of Prime Ministerial colleagues follow in his foot-steps and are active on social mzedia leading to quick resolution of issues. One of the senior members of his Cabinet Sushma Swaraj recently recounted how being on face book helped her evacuate Indians from Yemen.
Alas, the same is not true of cooperative leaders who still prefer the ineffective and time-taking mode of communication. Some of those who have broken the jinx and are making a mark in the field of social media include IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, Sahakar Bharati leaders Satish Marathe and Jyotindra Mehta, Amul MD R S Sodhi and a few more.
