There is news that several consumer cooperatives in different districts of Rajasthan are coming forward to help the people.
The co-ops are providing essential items in rural and urban areas at a reasonable price.
According to the news coming in from Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, consumer cooperative stores are providing essentials products to the people at the doorstep. They are providing items at a reasonable price and 25 vans have been pressed into service.
District Consumer Cooperative GM Ramcharan Meena has appealed to the people to maintain social distancing while purchasing items from the vans. The essential items are in sufficient quantity and there is no shortage of any kind. Consumers are requested to note down the mobile number of the seller of the van so that their contact is maintained, he said.
Another news coming in from Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan is that consumer cooperatives are providing essentials items to the public. Several consumer co-ops including Jaisalmer Co-op Consumer Wholesale Store are selling essential items to the public.
Similarly, In Kota district of Rajasthan, District consumer cooperative will make home delivery of essential commodities to the people through its four supermarkets. In the meeting chaired by Collector Om Kasera, it was decided that home delivery will be done in the urban and rural areas through the supermarket vehicles of district consumer cooperatives.
In Udaipur, District Transport officer Kalpana Sharma has flagged off Cooperative Consumer Wholesale Store Limited, Udaipur’s four tempos loaded with essentials items for the doorstep delivery. Through this, food items will be made available to consumers at reasonable rates.
The door to door delivery of goods has also been started by the cooperative consumer stores in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. People can also send the list of goods on the agents’ mobile number through Whatsapp and goods will be delivered to consumers’ homes in 12 hours after placing the order. Not only this, the administration has also appealed to make the online payment.
