The PACS awareness program was organized by VAMNICOM in collaboration with CARE Foundation at Saloo and Markal villages in Khed tehsil of Pune district on 21st August, 2023 for the PACS stakeholders.
The program raises awareness about new schemes of the Ministry of Cooperation and especially focusing on Common Services Centres and its importance for the PACS business diversification, informs a press release issued by VAMNICOM.
The Maharashtra State has come up with 155 diversified business models which can be explored by the PACS for their business development and creating viable agriculture and allied projects.
Ganesh Kabra, Common Services Centres, Expert, Pune briefed about the registration process, required documents and its importance for the PACS and its members in every village.
Dr. Mahesh Kadam, Associate Professor, VAMNICOM, Pune gave information and discussed initiatives taken by the Ministry of Cooperation for strengthening Primary Agricultural Credit Societies.
Director, VAMNICOM, Dr. Hema Yadav, Shri. Mukesh Kumar, State Head, Common Service Centre, Shri. Vikas Kumar, District Head, CSC, Shri. Avudhut Kadam, Founder, CARE Foundation, Research Officer, Dr. Aditya Dinkar gave necessary technical inputs and handled the PACS Awareness program for smooth conduction and its execution.
130 people from the cooperative ecosystem attended the event and took the benefits of the one-day awareness program.
