The Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) has officially declared the results for the 57th batch of its prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (PGDCBM).
Topping the list is Ms. Somaya from Karnataka State Cooperative Federation Ltd., with Mr. Rishot Shanborlang Marbaniang and Mr. Jefferson Thongni, both from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Meghalaya, securing the second and third positions, respectively.
A total of 11 participants from various cooperative organizations, including The Bellary District Cooperative Society, Karnataka State Cooperative Federation Ltd., Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Meghalaya, The Mulkanoor Cooperative Rural Credit and Marketing Society Ltd., and M.P. Rajya Sahakari Bank Maryadit, Bhopal, has successfully completed the program.
The Director of VAMNICOM extended her congratulations to the participants for their dedication and achievement. She also shared the news that 10 outstanding participants will receive a fellowship of Rs 50,000, funded by the Cooperative Education Fund of the Ministry of Cooperation, New Delhi.
She emphasized the importance of the PGDCBM diploma, stating that, according to a recent notification from the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), New Delhi, this program now qualifies participants as “fit and proper” to hold CEO positions in multi-state cooperative societies. This development enhances the career prospects of the diploma holders significantly.
Dr. R. Elangovan, Professor and Program Director of PGDCBM, announced that admissions for the 58th batch, which will commence on November 18, 2024, are now open.
The program will be delivered in a hybrid format, accommodating employees and officers of cooperative departments, cooperative organizations, cooperative banks, credit cooperative societies, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and multi-state cooperative societies.
