UP: PACSFED targets Rs 600 cr; Ministers join its AGM

Uttar Pradesh State Construction Cooperative Union Limited held its Annual General Meeting at Sugarcane Institute at Lucknow in the presence of several cabinet ministers of the Yogi Government including Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Cooperative Minister Mukut Bihar Verma and other eminent personalities.

Shahi was invited as the Chief Guest and Verma as the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The AGM was held last week.

Scores of members associated with the cooperative union from various districts graced the occasion and presented their suggestions for the development of the cooperative movement.

Addressing the AGM Shahi said, “Cooperatives in Uttar Pradesh should take inspiration from the co-ops of Gujarat and Telangana. Shahi, however, congratulated the bank and said there is no bank loan on State Constriction Cooperative Union and it is in profit.

Sharing the news through social media, Verma wrote on his Facebook wall, “Today, Uttar Pradesh State Construction Cooperative Union Ltd AGM was concluded at Sugarcane Institute, Lucknow in the presence of Hon’ble Agriculture Minister Shri Surya Pratap Shahi Ji, Hon’ble Rural Development Minister Shri Rajendra Pratap Singh ‘Moti Singh’ ji.

It is reported that the Union has targeted to achieve a construction work of Rs 600 crore during the 2019-20 financial year.

Known as PACSFED it was focused on erecting and installing cooperative cold storages, processing units, commissioning their plants and machinery and undertaking the work of their annual overhauling and maintenance in the beginning.

Therefore, in order to consolidate and strengthen its financial position the Govt of Uttar Pradesh recognized PACSFED as a construction agency and permitted it to undertake the work of the Departments of the State and Central Government, Corporations/Bodies Corporate, Authorities, cooperative societies and institutions of private sector etc., as a construction agency.
