Even during the Covid-19 times, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Federation is working hard to educate and train cooperatives. Taking advantage of this free training, cooperatives of the state are trying to further develop their organizations, claimed Jhunmun Gupta.
Soon after the Corona scare gripped the world into its fear, the online training was started by the State Cooperative Union from 6 June and since then, the union has been conducting training programs one after the other through Webex, read a press release sent by the state union.
Scores of officers and functionaries associated with the cooperative sector have benefited from the training programs. During the program conducted on 8th July, the Regional Director of National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), VK Dubasi gave information about important schemes of National Cooperative Development Corporation and about financial assistance being provided by National Cooperative Development Corporation, read the mail.
Taking part in the program on 13 July, IFFCO Deputy General Manager (Marketing) DK Sewer introduced IFFCO as a leading cooperative to the participants. On 17 July, IFFCO’s Senior Marketing Manager SK Chauhan gave detailed information about the activities of IFFCO in Chhattisgarh and explained the various schemes being offered by IFFCO. On the same day, Dr. SK Singh, Chief Manager, IFFCO discussed the balanced use of fertilizers and micronutrients and how to increase yield, read the mail.
A program was also organized on 19 August for the weaver’s cooperatives of the state. General Manager of Chhattisgarh State Handloom Cooperative Union, A. Ayaz offered detailed information about the schemes being offered by the handloom department, it read.
The state co-op union also recently held a webinar on the subject of Cooperative Leadership Development. Addressing the event, President of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Union, Jhunmun Gupta said the whole world is struggling with the corona epidemic and it is a challenging time.
Gupta said everyone should discharge their responsibility. According to him, continuous training programs and sharing experiences of those associated with the cooperative sector will throw light on cooperative leadership development.
Ravindra Singh Bhatia, Vice President of the State Cooperative Union emphasized the importance of learning in life so events like webinars are important.
Taking part in the discussion, State Cooperative Union Chief Executive Officer VK Shukla said cooperative is a democratic organization, which assimilates the goodness of capitalism, socialism.
Since the cooperative is a democratic organization, the responsibility of leadership increases. He shared his various ideas about how one could develop one’s leadership qualities. He also answered queries posed by the participants.
