The National level Multi State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) are gearing up to welcome delegates from across the country for their Annual General Meetings in Delhi. The season of AGMs sets in for hundreds of cooperative bodies across the country.
NCUI – the apex body of cooperatives in the country is holding its AGM on 21st September 2023 at its Auditorium.
There are several state level cooperative organizations also, which are preparing to hold their Annual General Meetings at their respective places before 30th September 2023.
Interestingly, Delhi is home to more than 15 national cooperative federations, which in effect means the town is going to welcome delegates from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
IFFCO, which is one of the firsts to hold AGM, did so in the month of May only. But it yet again called the Special Annual General Meeting on 29th September 2023 at the NCUI Auditorium. The amendment in the bye-laws in the wake of the amended Multi State Cooperative Societies Act will be on agenda, among other subjects.
NCUI has more than 260 co-op societies as its members and according to NCUI sources about 250 delegates are likely to participate in the AGM scheduled for 21st September 2023. Dileep Sanghani will preside over the AGM.
The second largest fertilizer cooperative Kribhco has announced its plans to conduct its AGM on 21st September 2023 at the Sirifort Auditorium. Kribhco’s functionaries are busy preparing to welcome delegates who are going to count no less than 500.
Nafed is slated to hold its AGM on 22nd September 2023. The agri co-op has been on the growth path earning handsome profits as well as business, year after year.
Many other National federations including National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India (NCCF) AGM is slated for 22nd September 2023 whereas as the apex body of UCBs and Credit Societies- Nafcub announced plans to organize their AGMs on 23rd September 2023.
Besides, the apex body of state cooperative banks-Nafscob will hold its AGM on 26th September 2023 at Jaipur. Apex bodies like National Labour Cooperative Federation (NLCF) and Nacof will organize their AGMs on 27th September 2023 and 20th September 2023 respectively.
GCMMF, Nafcard, National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories, Saraswat Cooperative Bank, Cosmos Cooperative Bank, SVC Cooperative Bank and others have already held their AGMs recently.
There are many other UCBs including Citizen Credit Cooperative Bank, Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank, Nashik Merchants’ Cooperative Bank and other multi State cooperative banks of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and other banks have also planned to hold their meetings before 30th September, as it is mandatory as per the MSCS Act for multi-State co-ops to hold their AGMs before the said date.
