IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani is visiting Jordan overseeing the operations of one of IFFCO’s most successful Joint Ventures-JIFCO. On his arrival in Jordan, the former Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan and Chairman of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (PLC) Prof. Mohammad Thanibat welcomed him.
Making most of his visit, Sanghani visited the Industrial Jetty at Aqaba from where IFFCO’s joint venture-JIFCO exports phosphoric acid and imports Sulphur. Sanghani also visited the JIFCO Phosphoric Acid Storage Tank complex at Aqaba near the Port and also Inspected the storage area and understood the operating system of the plant.
The IFFCO Chairman was accompanied by the senior officials of JIFCO, who were seen informing him about the monitoring system of the unit. Former Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan and Chairman of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (PLC) Prof. Mohammad Thanibat organized a special dinner for Sanghani. IFFCO Director Bhavesh Radadiya and Smt. Geetaben Sanghani also accompanied him.
In one of his tweets, Sanghani wrote, “Visited JIFCO (Jordan India Fertilizer Company) Headquarters at Amman (Jordan) and held a meeting with the officials”.
In the month of May, IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi had attended the Board of Directors meeting of Jordan India Fertilizer Company LLC (JIFCO), Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Later a group of IFFCO Directors including Premchand Munshi and Ovr Ramachandran had also visited the JIFCO plant.
Apart from visiting the JIFCO plant, Sanghani also toured several iconic places of Jordan, which included Petra city famous for archaeological sites in southwestern desert of Jordan.
It bears recall that JIFCO is a JV between IFFCO and Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC). The company’s phosphoric acid plant at Eshidiya in Jordan has the annual capacity to produce 4.75lakh tonners of Phosphoric Acid in terms of P205. For the year 2022, JIFCO produced 4.87 lakh tonnes of Phosphoric Acid.
