Sahakar Bharati will organize a conference in West Bengal on 24th and 25th June at the Adyapeath Mandir Auditorium, Dakshineshwar, Kolkata. The conference is likely to give a much needed boost to Sahakar Bharti’s organizational strength in the state.
Sahakar Bharati Patron Satish Marathe recently visited Kolkata to take stock of the situation and energize the local Sahakar Bharati Karyakarta for the upcoming event.
Talking to this correspondent Sahakar Bharati Patron Satish Marathe said, “It is a major initiative by the organization to hold this conference in West Bengal as we have been active for several years in the state and receiving good response”.
Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani and Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala are expected to attend the conference, said Marathe to this correspondent on the phone.
Among the issues to be discussed during the conference will be the obsolete cooperative Act of West Bengal and the plight of PACS in the state, Marathe informed.
Over 1000 delegates from all Districts including representatives from Weavers Cooperatives, Milk Cooperatives, Self help groups and Joint Credit Societies will participate.
Earlier, Sahakar Bharati organized a three-day Kerala State Conference to commemorate the birth centenary of its founder Laxmanrao Inamdar.
