The RSS affiliated cooperative organization Sahakar Bharati celebrated 11th January as its 44th foundation day when thousands of its workers attended events held across states repeating the mantra “Bina Sansakar nahi Sahakar”.
The office bearers of Sahakar Bharati including its President DN Thakur, National General Secretary Uday Joshi, National Organizing Secretary Sanjay Pachpor, founder member Satish Marathe, Jyotindra Mehta and others extended their greetings both by participating physically and through social media platforms.
Extending his wishes to the Sahakar Bharati workers, its President DN Thakur said, “On the occasion of the 44th foundation day, I congratulate all the Karyakartas who are relentlessly working to take the cooperative movement to newer heights. I would also like to thank the Union Government for giving its nod for the formation of three multi state cooperative societies. We, the Sahakar Bharati leaders are seeing this as a gift on our foundation Day”, he added.
In his message, Marathe wrote, “Today on the occasion of the Foundation Day of Sahakar Bharati, Greetings to all Co-Operatives & Co-Operators! Founded in 1979, over the years, Sahakar Bharati has emerged as the largest pan India organisation in the Co-Operative Sector. Presently, across Sectors, thousands of Co-Ops are associated with Initiatives, activities & programs of Sahakar Bharati!”

Sahakar Bharati former President Jyotindra Mehta and Uday Joshi also greeted the Karyakartas (workers). The foundation day of Sahakar Bharati brought good news especially for Joshi, as he had been appointed as the central government nominee on the GC of NCUI.
The WhatsApp group run by Sahakar Bharati Karyakartas also greeted its members. There are three-four WhatsApp groups run by co-operators of different regions that expressed reactions on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning that Sahakar Bharati is active in 27 states and working in 600 districts across the country. The RSS affiliated co-op organization took the pledge to participate in social media platforms.
