Sahakar Bharati observed its 37th Foundation Day on Monday 11th January, 2016 throughout the country. There was some confusion as to the date whether it is 10th or 11th but the President of Sahakar Bharati Jyotindra Mehta lost no time in correcting it on his FB wall.
Mehta put a banner of Sahakar Bharati proudly announcing that there can be no Sahakar (Cooperation) without the matching Sanskar (cooperative culture). This is also the philosophy around which the activities of the cooperative body are conducted.
Celebrating the event Satish Marathe wrote on his FB wall” It is a day when the Aims & Objects of Sahakar Bharati are re-stated and Karyakartas re-dedicate themselves to build a strong and vibrant cooperative movement.
Similar Programmes will be organised all over the country in the next days, Marathe wrote further. The Konkan Division has specially arranged a programme at Dombivli. Chandrakant Dada Patil, co-operation minister, Govt of Maharashtra will be the Chief Guest. National President, Jyotindrabhai Mehta will preside over the Function, Marathe added.
A large number of cooperators and co-operatives, trainers, co-op officials, SHG/JLG members, particularly from rural areas, from all Districts ( Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg ) of the Konkan Region of Maharashtra besides Mumbai will attend the programme, he added.
For the best published Annual Reports, prizes will be given away on the occasion. More than 700 coops will participate in the competition organized by Sahakar Sugandh.
In another piece if news coming from Haryana the Panchkula and Karnal offices of Sahakar Bharati celebrated the Foundation Day in the presence of hundreds of cooperators. Local MLA Gyan Chandra Gupta, Sahakar Bharati officials Shri Devendra and Amrit Sagar were present on the occasion.
