Laxmi Narayan Gupta, Sahakar Bharati Delhi official, who could always be spotted along with Satish Marathe whenever the latter visited Delhi, succumbed to Covid-19 in the evening on Thursday. He was 65.
Gupta’s sudden death sent shockwaves in the cooperative sector Thursday evening. Both Marathe and Sahakar Bharati General Secretary Uday Joshi shared the sad news with Indian Cooperative.
Well-known in Delhi co-operative circles, Gupta served as the head of All India Media Cell of Sahakar Bharati. He also served as the President of Sahakar Bharati Delhi Chapter in the past.
Gupta died at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Punjabi Bagh. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago after testing positive of Covid-19. His son is also Covid positive.
Gupta had also felicitated Dileep Sanghani on his election as NCUI President recently at his home in Punjabi Bagh in Delhi. Several co-operators were present on the occasion.
Several co-operators took to social media offering their tributes to Gupta. Sahakar Bharati National General Secretary Uday Joshi and founder Satish Marathe also paid their tributes to the departed soul.
Amiable and sweet, Gupta would always be missed by friends and associates. Indian Cooperative joins others in paying tributes to the departed soul.
