Cooperatives and farmers are cousin brothers and this was proved in the three day Krishi Unnati Mela which concluded on Sunday.
The mela was a national celebration of an emerging India as from the Prime Minister to an ordinary farmer, from top-notch scientists to dedicated cooperators-each participated and rubbed shoulders with one another.
Facilitated by NCDC-the cooperative lender, cooperatives also had opportunities making the most of it by putting up impressive stalls. One can find well known co-op brands lining the stalls.
More than 60 cooperatives including Amul, IFFCO, KRIBHCO, National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), Fishopfed, Sahakar Bharati, NLCF, Urban Cooperative Banks such as Saraswat Cooperative Bank, SVC Bank, PMC Bank, Bombay Mercantile Cooperative Bank participated in the Krishi Unnati Mela 2018.
