In an attempt to preserve its relevance as a training institution in the changed context, Pune based Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) is organizing the 54th batch of 26 weeks Post Graduate Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (PGDCBM) program which would commence from 2nd November, 2020 through online education mode.
Major portion of the course shall be completed via an online Course Management System Model. Perhaps it will be the first of its kind 26 weeks program organized through online mode by Vamnicom in its history, reads a release from the Institute.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Cooperative Business Management (PGDCBM), is the core program of the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM).
In the wake of covid-19, the program will be covered through online education mode, comprehensive on-campus interactive sessions followed by the conduct of end-term examination.
The objective of the program is to impart the latest management concepts, techniques and practices of co-operative management to the participants and expose the participants to the actual functioning of co-operatives through field visits to various cooperative institutions.
It is being said that the field visits for the participants of different co-ops would be organized at the end of the 26 weeks program following Covid-19 protocols and guidelines as received from the Government of India.
The participants who will apply should have at least a bachelor’s degree. The preference would be given to candidates with a minimum of three years’ working experience in managerial capacity in co-op organizations, government departments, co-op banks. The total seats are 30.
The last date for receipt of nominations is 25th October 2020 and the course fee for per participant from India and CICTAB member institutions in SAARC countries is Rs 40k.
