NCUI: NCCE trains fishermen, Dora participates

National Centre for Cooperative Education recently conducted a three-day Leadership Development Program for Chairmen and Directors of Fishermen’s Cooperatives in New Delhi for the development of their managerial skills.

36 participants from Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Assam participated in the program. The prime objective of the program was to develop Leadership quality of the participants.

The participants were also provided with a platform to interact with other participants.

The role and responsibilities of the Board of Directors are crucial to achieving the targets and providing satisfactory services to the members.

Different subjects were incorporated and prepared into a short and focused training document for the Fisheries sector.

Inaugurating the program, Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director NCCE said the Fisheries sector is playing an important role in providing quality fish food on remunerative prices.

Speaking during the course T. Prasad Rao Dora, President FISHCOPFED gave his holistic insights on Fisheries Cooperatives. B.K. Mishra, Managing Director FISHCOPFED presented an overview of the role of FISHCOPFED in the development of Fisheries Cooperatives.

In one of the sessions, experts and others discussed in detail various schemes for Fishermen Cooperatives and Innovative methods for Fish farming

Delivering the valedictory address, Dr V.K. Dubey, Director, NCCE said the knowledge gained by the participants may be utilised in their societies for better prospectus.

Priyank Singh, Assistant Director, NCCE coordinated the program and all the participants highly appreciated the program.
