Monday saw the end of bickering and petty politics at the NCUI headquarters when its CE Dr Dinesh who had been with the apex body for the last five years was given a send off.
The hectic activities witnessed by the NCUI headquarters last week led to a somber Monday when all staff members as well as leaders turned emotional bidding farewell to their Chief Executive Dr Dinesh.
Dinesh himself got choked while describing how his five year tenure at the NCUI passed without him realizing it.” Whatever I could do was possible because of your cooperation” Dinesh said in emotionally charged words to his colleagues who had turned up in huge numbers at the Board room.
Referring to the NCUI President as a true leader Dinesh said he always allowed absolute freedom to act and take decisions.
I know I am not very popular ; I am harsh in words; even my wife says I do not know how to speak; but believe me I always wanted your good, Dinesh said in his parting words to his team. Several senior officers such as N Satyanarayan and Mohan Mishra paid glowing tributes to the outgoing CE.
”He taught us how to maintain file and how to be professional as he had experiences working with the govt of India,” said N.Satyanarayan the man who has succeeded him. ”This year the NCUI has already earned revenue of Rs 40 crore all due to the able leadership of our CE, added Satyanarayan.
Mishra said under Dr Dinesh’s leadership training activities saw a massive jump both at NCCE and NCCT. Basically a trainer himself the outgoing CE was a source of inspiration for the wonderful work being done by NCCT today, Mishra added.
NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav complemented Dr Dinesh for his popularity which Yadav said is clear from people’s reactions.” Nobody wants him to go but we work under certain guidelines which we have to follow”, Yadav hinted at his inability to get his extension in the wake of govt guidelines.
Yadav listed the good works done by Dinesh and said that every month he would organize conference from one of the cooperative sectors in Delhi. He kept all of us busy, he added. Yadav requested him to be ready to offer his services whenever the cooperative movement needs it.
Mrs Sandhya presented a brief speech on Dinesh asking people to share their experience frankly with the outgoing CE. There were only expressions of emotions and feelings but no complaints whatsoever. It was obvious that human emotions had trumped pragmatic considerations on the occasion.
