Nafscob organized its board of directors meeting recently at Mahabaleshwar, Pune, in which more than 25 issues related to cooperative banks were discussed.
The meeting hosted by Maharashtra State Cooperative Banks, was attended by the who’s who of state cooperative banks. Nafscob Chairman Ravindra Rao, MD Bhima Subrahmanyam, Delhi StCB Chairman Bijendra Singh, MSC Bank Administrative Board Chairman Vidyadhar Anaskar, Haryana StCB Hukum Singh Bhati, Uttarakhand StCB Dan Singh Rawat and others attended the meeting.
During the meeting, a draft vision paper for AMRIT KAL was formulated for the perusal of 3 Tier STCCS. This is being circulated to all SCBS, DCCS and PACS. Besides, it was resolved to organize a National Seminar to discuss and formulate a vision paper for AMRIT KAL- Redefine role & responsibilities of NAFSCOB and work out strategies to address the issues of STCCS at all 3 levels on 28 April 2023.
Soon after the meeting, talking to the Indian Cooperative correspondent Nafscob Chairman K Ravinder Rao said, “Several subjects were brought up for discussions which included the need for Model bye-laws for State Cooperative Banks (StCBs) and District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) besides, formulating model ‘Guidelines for Staff Rules’ and preparing suggested ‘Performance Appraisal’ in StCBs and DCCBs”, he added.
“The meeting was successful. We have now started preparing for the National Seminar scheduled for 28th April 2023, and seeking the confirmation of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate the seminar”, Rao said.
During the meeting four publications were released by the board members.
Besides, it was also decided to hold a National Level Conference of DCCBs at Mumbai in the month of April. “We are planning to invite Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate the conference. In the conference the resolution for constituting the National Federation for DCCBs will also be presented”, said another participant.
