Nafcub Prez Mehta working hard to ease pains of Covid victims

Guided and directed by Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta, Rajkot based MTMF (Manubhai & Taraben Memorial Foundation) in Gujarat has been providing yeoman service to the needy people during the pandemic. It has taken up many activities to ease the pains and troubles of the Covid stricken people during the second wave of Corona.

Since the healthcare facilities in Rajkot city were overwhelmed, the MTMF joined hands with Rolex-SNK Covid Hospital through a medical shop dispensing free medicines, injections and other items necessary for the treatment of corona patients.

The Rolex -SNK, Covid Hospital provided free of cost treatment to the Covid affected patients, informs a press release issued by the organization.

The MTMF has contributed medicines and other items costing Rs. 21 lakh, 250 patients have been given timely treatment and cured in this hospital. The items given by MTMF included Injections, oxygen cylinders, Bi-Pep ventilators, Oxygen Flow Meters, Food for the patients, fruits and juices, etc. Masks, sanitizers and steam machines too have been distributed to the needy people by the foundation.

The hospital has been equipped with two 48-seater buses to carry the patients from any centre in or outside Rajkot, Oxygen cylinders, BP monitoring machines and other medical/surgical equipment. Each bus is provided with one doctor, 3 nurses, 3 attendants.

They visit different nearby villages in the radius of 70-80 Kms, conduct corona tests and people with mild symptoms of corona are given necessary medicines and advised home isolation. People with high symptoms were admitted to the Rolex-SNK Covid hospital.

The patients admitted here get the services of hospitalisation, treatment, food and medicines, surgical and other equipment without any charges. Looking at the warning of the third wave of Corona round the corner, this Covid hospital will continue working for quite some time.

Veteran co-operator and president of national cooperative giant organisation NAFCUB, Jyotindra Mehta has been personally overseeing the activities of MTMF towards the betterment of low-income segments for making a healthy and happy society, claims a press release.

Besides Mehta, Meeraben Mehta, Rahul Mehta, Dhanraj Mehta, Megha Mehta, Ajay Vala, Hemali Khokhani, Alpesh Mehta, Kamlesh Mehta, Dinesh Gohel, Bhavin Verma, Mehul Mehta, Prashant Lathigara, Dishank Shah, Jayesh Mehta and many others are part of MMTF, claims the release.
