MP to set up Kisan Samridhi Kendra in every panchayat: Mohan Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a review meeting of the state cooperative department on Tuesday and announced the establishment of PM Kisan Samridhi Kendras in every gram panchayat across the state.

“These centers will provide farmers with essential services such as fertilizers, seeds, agricultural equipment, soil testing, and various other types of information, all under one roof,” he added.

He further mentioned the formation of a state-level innovation cell and the creation of new cooperative societies under the ‘One District-One Product’ initiative. Dr. Yadav instructed officials to devise a plan to further strengthen district cooperative banks.

Dr. Yadav also stated that the National Cooperative Development Corporation has approved the establishment of five oil mills in the state.

The meeting also discussed the activities of the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Housing Federation and the various liabilities of the Madhya Pradesh State Marketing Federation.

It was reported that the state government has invested Rs 142 crores in equity capital in the Apex Bank. The bank has enhanced its modern banking facilities, with 38 district cooperative central banks now operating under the Core Banking Solution (CBS) system.

The Apex Bank has achieved an accumulated profit of Rs 131.83 crores and has provided Rs 12.10 crores in dividends to the state government over the past four years.

Additionally, the training programs conducted by the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Union are being carried out effectively, and sugar factories in Burhanpur and Khargone are performing well.

The meeting was attended by State Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman, along with other senior officials and office bearers of cooperatives.

During the meeting, the Apex Bank’s Managing Director Manoj Gupta presented a dividend cheque of Rs 4.27 crores to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
