To mark the International Cooperative Year 2025, a state-level cooperative conference is scheduled to take place, with the Union Minister for Cooperation and Home Affairs, Amit Shah, attending as the chief guest. The event will be chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and is set for today on Sunday in the Ravindra Sabha Hall.
The conference will also host several distinguished guests, including Member of Parliament V.D. Sharma, Cooperative Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang, and Minister of Animal Husbandry (Independent Charge) Lakhan Patel.
Joining them will be key figures such as Meenesh Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Central Cooperative Secretary Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Additional Chief Secretary for Cooperative Ashok Barnwal, and Principal Secretary for Animal Husbandry Umakant Umrao.
Guided by the theme “Cooperation for Prosperity,” the event will spotlight a range of transformative initiatives. Highlights include screenings of short films on ‘Shvet Kranti 2.0’ and the Madhya Pradesh Dairy Development Project, as well as features on cooperative business diversification and the growth of PACKS (Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies) in the state.
A key segment will feature the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Dairy Development Board and the Madhya Pradesh Dairy Federation under the CPPI framework. Additionally, a contract for the procurement and cultivation of Pusa Basmati Rice will be formalized by Vigyan Lodha, Managing Director of Majestic Group (Mandi Deep), in partnership with Bhaskar Sharma, Committee Manager of PACKS Ghat Pipariya in Raisen district.
A similar agreement for the cultivation of Napier Grass will be executed between Sameer Sagar, Managing Director of Mushrooms World Umbrella Limited, and Kunwar Singh Dangi, Committee Manager of PACKS Salamtpur, also in Raisen district.
The conference will also witness key financial disbursements aimed at supporting cooperative development. District Cooperative Central Bank Ratlam will provide a loan of Rs 15 lakh to PACKS Bangarod for the installation of a Dharmakanta (weighbridge). District Cooperative Central Bank Mandla will extend Rs 60 lakh to PACKS Mehdawani for setting up a grading plant for Kodo-Kutki.
Meanwhile, the National Cooperative Development Corporation will offer a loan of Rs 120 lakh to PACKS Gogangwa in Khargone district for establishing a cooperative-run supermarket.
On the empowerment front, Mahesh Verma, Secretary of the Milk Cooperative Society in Tilekhairi, Bhopal district, will be presented with a Micro ATM. A Farmer Credit Card will be issued to Yash Raghuwanshi, a member of PACKS Sankalkheda Khurd.
In the presence of HPCL Central Zone CGM A.S. Reddy, Pushpendra Singh, Committee Manager of PACKS Susner in Agar-Malwa district, will receive a Letter of Intent for petrol pump allocation. Additionally, a drug license will be granted to Ajay Kumar Nayak, Committee Manager of Jan Aushadhi Kendra PACKS Kuan in Katni district.
