The 21st annual general body of Karnataka State Souharda Federal Co-Operative Ltd., was held on 19th September 2022 at “Kings Court Palace ground Bangalore. Over a thousand co-operators from 31 districts of Karnataka took part in the meeting.
In his welcome speech, A.R. Prasanna Kumar, Vice president of the cooperative welcomed guests and members and discussed the progress of the cooperative movement in Karnataka in particular and in the country in general, informs a press release.
Later on, G Patil Managing Director of Karnataka state Souharda federal cooperative, presented the subjects of the general body & the subjects were unanimously approved. He moved a vote of thanks.
The Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gnanendra was impressed by the proceedings of the general body meeting. He praised the honouring of cooperators with awards. He also described the souharda co-operative movement in Karnataka as a model to the nation.
Some top-ranking bureaucrats like Umashankar IAS the principal Secretary for co-operative, government of Karnataka. & Dr Captain Rajendra K IAS Register of co-operative society in Karnataka were chief guests on this occasion.
Cooperators like S.S. Patil former cooperative minister and former additional director of cooperative Parashivamurthy were felicitated and given awards for their invaluable contributions into getting the souharda co-operative act in Karnataka implemented.
On the occasion, several cooperators and co-ops were felicitated with Sahakara Rathna award and Shrestha Sahakari and Best souharda co-operative.
In yet another session, a panel discussion was held about the Sarfesi Act. The session was presided over by G Nanjanagowda, President of Karnataka state Souharda federal cooperative. .
Narayan Babu Advocate, Madhukar Hedge Chartered Accountant, and Ranjani Advocate, expressed their views on the provisions of the Serfeci act & their applications to the souharda co-operatives.
B.H.Krishna Reddy former president of Karnataka state Souharda federal cooperative and the sitting director also spoke on the occasion.
