Uttarakhand Cooperative Federation organized its 14th Annual General Meeting in the presence of State Cooperative Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the bank UCF business increased to Rs 562 crore and earned a profit of Rs 4.49 crore in the 2021-22 financial year.
Addressing the AGM, Rawat asked officials to double its business in the near future. The federation should also work as a working organization for MLAs, and MPs’ funds.
“The discussion should also be held about doing business at the vacant land of UCF in Ranikhet and Halduchaur. The UCF should install CCTVs and increase the capacity of its godowns”, he added.
In his address, UCF Chairman Matwar Singh Rawat said, “We are doing the work of marketing and branding by purchasing products from hilly areas with an objective to give farmers remunerative prices”.
“UCF is expanding its business in other allied activities. 350 employees have been growing their organization’s business for 20 years”, the federation chairman informed.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the minister also inaugurated the auditorium of the UCF built at its headquarters’ premises.
The Uttarakhand Co-operative Union has constructed a grand air-conditioned auditorium on top of its building. About fifty six lakh rupees have been spent on this auditorium with 108 seats. A soundproof system has also been installed.
On this occasion, UCF Director Umesh Tripathi, Rajendra Singh Negi, Pitambar Ram, Geeta Nautiyal, MD Ramindri Manderwal, Manager Tribhuvan Singh and others were present.
