The fertilizer cooperative IFFCO engaged scores of farmers in different parts of the country by installing big screens for watching the event on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by the Prime Minister. One such event was organized at Deoghar, in which Union Chemical and Fertilizer Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey, IFFCO MD Dr US Awasthi and others were present.
In Ramudih, Deoghar, IFFCO Nano Urea and Nano DAP were sprayed on the potato crop by the female drone pilot-Rashmi Kumari through IFFCO Kisan Drone.
Reacting to this development, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said, the IFFCO initiative in empowering the women will definitely prove to be a milestone under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The presence of about 200 farmers was recorded on this occasion.
“The production of Nano Urea and Nano DAP at Santhal Deoghar will be used for farmers living in other parts of the country. This plant will be a game changer in bringing smiles to farmers”, said Mandaviya while speaking to journalists on this occasion.

The scheme aims to provide drones to 15,000 selected Women SHGs during the period 2023-24 to 2025-2026 for providing rental services to farmers for agriculture purposes.
It bears recalling that earlier, IFFCO launched a massive nationwide campaign for procuring 2500 drones “IFFCO Kisan Drones” as spray solutions for spraying its revolutionary products Nano Urea & Nano DAP inspired by PM’s vision of Sahkar Se Samriddhi. This will lead to development of 5000 rural entrepreneurs who are identified by IFFCO to be trained for spraying drones.
Last month, the co-op titan IFFCO also launched the training of the first batch of Women drone pilots at both Gwalior and Phulpur. About 300 women candidates have been enrolled for the training program.
