The agri cooperative- Kribhco’s Deputy Manager (Marketing) Nitesh Kumar Mishra (Age-32) has made the Indian cooperative sector proud by clearing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination securing all-Indian rank 158 in the prestigious examination.
Mr Mishra, who originally belonged to Darbhanga, Bihar but his family settled down at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has cleared the exam in his sixth attempt. He mostly studied on his own and joined coaching classes only for mock tests.
Reacting to the news, Kribhco Chairman Dr Chandra Pal Singh said “It is indeed a matter of pride that one of our officers has cracked the toughest exam of the country. I wish him all luck!”, he added.
Thanking the Kribhco management for never discouraging him from attempting the civil service examinations, Mishra added, “I had done my schooling from Sainik School, Bhubaneswar, since then I had a dream to become an IPS or IAS officer and I am lucky enough that my dream has come true”, he said.
“I had joined Kribhco in April, 2016 as a management trainee but now I am Deputy Manager (Marketing). After leaving the office at 6:00 P.M., I used to study late at night and with the grace of God I am able to clear the UPSC exam. I can say proudly that I was able to manage both-Study and Job”, he added.
Mishra’s story reinforces the idea that success in challenging exams like the UPSC is not solely dependent on long study hours but rather on effective and focused preparations.
His emphasis on taking breaks and maintaining a balance in life, including spending time on social media, highlights the importance of holistic well-being during the preparation phase.
Now, Mishra will go to LBSNAA, Mussoorie for his training somewhere in September and he has the desire to get the Odisha cadre. His wife is working in National Seeds Corporation Ltd. (NSC) and has a three years old daughter.
Despite many obstacles and demotivation from people, Mishra persisted with his efforts, eventually achieving success. His ability to persevere through tough times and stay focused on his goals is commendable.
Well done Nitesh, wish you every success in future challenges of civil services. We feell proud in your success .
