MALAPPURAM: Minister for Home and Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has underscored the need to open more paramedical courses in cooperative and government institutions. “That is the best option to meet the increasing demand for paramedical personnel in our healthcare system,” he said while inaugurating the E.M.S. Academic Campus attached to E.M.S. Memorial Cooperative Hospital at Perinthalmanna on Saturday evening.

Presiding over the function, Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran called upon government hospitals in the State to do an introspection as many of them could not provide good facilities. Praising the E.M.S. Cooperative Hospital for the facilities it provided at reasonable prices, Mr. Sudhakaran indirectly asked the government hospitals to emulate the cooperative model.

Minister for Local Administration Paloli Mohammed Kutty opened the new building of the College of Paramedical Sciences. V. Sasikumar, MLA, launched a mobile ICU. Calicut University Vice-Chancellor Anwar Jahan Zuberi inaugurated the Academic Library.
