Acting on the Prime Minister’s mantra of “Jaan bhi Jahan bhi” (balancing life with livelihood), LINAC- a training arm of co-op lender NCDC, launched a virtual training programme starting Wednesday, informs its MD Sundeep Nayak.
“Amid the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus, the Laxmanrao Inamdar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development Regional Training Centre (LINAC) of NCDC launched a two week long professional training program for program officers on Wednesday through Zoom app”, says the MD.
The training program which was kicked off on 15th April 2020 has participants drawn from various parts of the country.
“More than 40 participants from Shimla, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Trivandrum, New Delhi and others are participating in the training program through the video conferencing”, informed NCDC Chief Director Vanitha R.
The module of the programme envisages two sessions in which different aspects of co-op training are incorporated. It also has a component of discussion with an aim to clarify doubts in the minds of the participants.
Sharing the information about the event, NCDC social media handle tweeted, “As per the Hon PM’s inspiration to

Bikramjit Singh, Chief Director, LINAC, S K Tucker, Advisor, LINAC, Ashwani Kumar, Consultant, LINAC and other officials are the ones coordinating and coaching the participants.
It is worth mentioning that several cooperatives including IFFCO, Nafcub, NCUI and others are also adopting high tech for organizing their meetings using Zoom and other video conferencing applications.
It bears recall that NCDC along with Indian Potash have contributed Rs 11 crore to the PM Cares fund. The co-op lender is also active at ground zero for spreading awareness among the farmers.
