Dr. U S Awasthi, Managing Director of IFFCO has tweeted on the launch of IKSL’s ambitious project for e-transformation of Rural India – ‘GramSanjeevani’. Resuming duty Awasthi tweeted next day “#IFFCO promoted #IKSL hv launched an interactive portal #gramsanjeevani #ePowering, #eTransformation #Rural #DigitalIndia.”
IKSL has been studying the requirements of farmers and their concerns which in turn helped it develop vast databases of advisories in text and audio form in ten Indian languages. ‘GramSanjeevani’ is an attempt to take this useful information to a much larger audience, claimed IKSL sources.
The users can set their Homepage to reflect their interests – State to which they belong, subject, locations for mandies & weather, etc. Mobile Apps of relevance to farmers are also being added. The same was tweeted by Dr. U S Awasthi” Anyone can set their own Rural Homepage in vid more than 10 Indian languages, rich rural content & data.”
Dr Awasthi sounded confident that Gramsanjeevani will promote Rural Art-Craft, Rural Tourism and would serve as a complete E-Gateway for Rural India promoting both “Make in India as well as Digital India.
IKSL portal was launched by the Chairman of (IFFCO), Shri Balvinder Singh Nakai in the presence of Dr U.S. Awasthi and other senior executives of IFFCO such as Shri R. Kapur, JMD (IFFCO) , S. Malhotra, CEO (IKSL) and Mr T. Sudhakar, Head (IT&BD).
