ICA DG Jeroen Douglas provides an overview of conference theme

With less than four months until the Global Cooperative Conference in New Delhi, India, ICA Director General Jeroen Douglas provides an overview of the conference theme.

The 2024 ICA Global Conference will hit Indian soil for the first time in its 130 years!  New Delhi will host cooperators from around the world, who will explore the role of cooperatives in creating a collective, peaceful and prosperous future for all.

There will be inspirational speakers and provocative panel debates, and delegates will co-create cooperative visions and strategies during multiple break-out sessions. The conference theme, Cooperatives Build Prosperity for All, celebrates cooperatives as people-centred, purpose-led and progress-driven enterprises.

The event officially launches the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives 2025 (IYC2025) in the presence of global leaders, academics and practitioners.

The IYC takes the theme “Cooperative Build a Better World”, to inspire cooperators worldwide to work together to strengthen the international cooperative movement, of which the ICA is the beating heart.

The Global Conference will be hosted by the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) and the 18 ICA member organisations in India.
