The staff-members of Goa State Cooperative bank who had formed a Co-op Credit Society in 1968 are celebrating Golden Jubilee this year. Called Apex Bank’s Staff Co-op Credit Society and having over 78 members, the society organized a colorful event last week on the occasion of its AGM in celebration of the Golden Jubilee Year.
The event sited at “Sahakar Sankul”, Head Office of The Goa State Co-op Bank in Panaji saw participation and presentation of lively cultural programs by children. “We have completed 50 years from 1968 to 2018 and we are proud of it”, said co-op Chairman Mr Sudesh K. Nagvenkar.
Those present on the occasion included Managing Director of the Goa State Co-op Bank Anant M. Chodankar, V. B. Verlekar, R. Mohandas, Shailesh Usgainkar, and several directors of the Society, among others.
Addressing the members Chairman of the Society Sudesh K. Nagvenkar declared a dividend @14.00% to its members and also Rs 500/- to every member in the 50th Jubilee Year.
Welcoming members he apprised them of the Society’s various schemes along with future plans. Later, V. B. Prabhu Verlekar addressed the assembly which was followed by the felicitation of some of the retired members and children of members’ children who had secured 75% and above marks in academics, excellence in Sports & cultural activities at International and national level in the last 2 years.
Thereafter, AGM was held which approved the 50th Annual Report of the Society, Audit Report for the year 2017-2018, compliance of the said report, audited statement of Accounts for the year 2017-18, appointment of Auditors, appropriation of profit for 2017-2018, declaration of dividend for the year 2017-2018, and Budget, etc.
