At the 60th Annual Seminar of the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI), two distinguished professionals, Dr. Mangla Rai and Dr. Ashok Gulati, were awarded the prestigious U.S. Awasthi IFFCO Lifetime Achievement Awards for 2023-24.
The awards recognize their exceptional contributions to agriculture and the fertilizer industry. Dr. Mangla Rai received the honor for his lifetime dedication to agricultural research and development, while Dr. Ashok Gulati was celebrated for his unparalleled achievements in the fertilizer industry.
The awards were presented by the Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Ms. Anupriya S. Patel, during the seminar at Hotel Andaz, New Delhi. Each award comprises INR 2.5 million, a gold medallion, and a citation.
Instituted in 2017, the U.S. Awasthi IFFCO Lifetime Achievement Awards celebrate individuals who have made groundbreaking advancements in agriculture and fertilizers, furthering sustainable growth and development.
The FAI Annual Seminar, themed “Sustainable Fertilizer and Agriculture,” runs from December 4th to 6th, attracting over 1,400 participants, including policymakers, industry leaders, and global stakeholders.
