”It is a befitting reply to those who had launched a vicious campaign against me through the “Readers’ comment” section of Indian Cooperative, an anguished Virendra Singh, Chairman of the NCCF said while talking to Indian Cooperative.’
Talking of the next course Virendra said his first job is to meet the Minister and clarify the “confusion”. The babus of the ministry are believed to have influenced the Minister, Indian Cooperative has learnt.
The coming Tuesday we need to call the meeting of the Board members for considering all legal options after quashing Notice issued under section 122 by the Ministry, said Mr Singh.
Experts point out that there are three options available before the Ministry in the wake of the High Court order. It can either issue a fresh notice as directed by the court or seek views of each and every board member before dissolving the Board.
Secondly, it may try to patch up with the existing board. Negotiations with Vishal and others-the petitioners assume importance here. Virendra Singh is interested in this option as he may then stake his well as the Board’s claim to the former status.
And thirdly, the Ministry may decide to go in appeal against the HC order in the Supreme Court delaying the resolution of the impasse.
Cooperators, Indian Cooperative talked to are skeptical of any solution in the foresseable future. They fear the current Administrator Mr M K Parida may not even allow the meeting of the dissolved board to take place.
Several cooperators told Indian Cooperative the NCCF board members’ adroit negotiations with the Union Minister alone could solve the problem.
