Pune based Indian Society for Studies In Cooperation organized the Late Professor R.V.Nadkarni Memorial Conference with the theme “Cooperative Milk Business: A vehicle for Doubling Farmers Income by 2022”.
The Conference was organized in collaboration with Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management & Pune Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Ltd Katraj Dairy, Pune on 21st September 2019.
Housed in the VAMNICOM Campus Indian Society for Studies In Cooperation is active organizing co-op events every now and then.
The Conference was inaugurated by Vishnu Hinge, Chairman Katraj dairy. Inaugural function was presided over by G.H.Amin, Chairman ISSC, Vice President NCUI & Chairman of Gujarat State Cooperative Union, Ahmadabad also graced the occasion.
In his inaugural remarks, Vishnu Hinge said farming is not the only means of doubling farmer’s income, if scientifically organized the milk business can also greatly help in doubling farmer’s income.
In his concluding remarks, Anil Karanjkar, Professor VAMNICOM and Secretary ISSC discussed the present state of the dairy movement in India & the challenges it needs to face.
In this digitalized area, the conference should focus on challenges in milk production, collection, value addition & marketing, he stressed.
Manisha Paliwal, Professor VAMNICOM anchored the program while Anil Karanjkar, Shirsagar, Manisha Paliwal and Mrs Anjali Navaghane were mainly responsible for organizing the event.
