Gujarat State Co-operative Union in collaboration with National Cooperative Union of India recently organized a Youth Cooperative Seminar – 2022 on the theme of ” India @ 75 : Youth Development and Bright Future in the Co-operative Sector ” in Ahmedabad .
While Dileep Sanghani, President of NCUI and Chairman of IFFCO inaugurated the Seminar, G H Amin, Chairman of GSCU presided over it, which was attended by about 900 students drawn from 25 different colleges, informs a press release by Gujarat State Cooperative Union.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanghani said there are countless opportunities even in a village through cooperative activities. Several schemes have been devised for boosting co-operative activities in the country and therefore now is the right time that young people join the Co-operative Sector and make their future bright, he underlined.
“We are now progressing towards achieving the status of a Developed Country. Today when the nation is celebrating the 75th year of independence. Hon Prime Minister of India has formed a separate Union Ministry of Co-operation and has given an effective slogan of ” Prosperity through Co-operation “, said Sanghani.
Applauding Amin for his efforts for enlisting youths in the Cooperative Sector, Sanghani said under the guidance of Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Minister of Home and Co-operation, NCUI in close cooperation with the Cooperation Ministry is preparing a database of cooperative institutions so as to strengthen co-operative activities.
Speaking as the chair of the seminar, Amin said that the college years are career building and the young people are always facing a difficult question as what to do after obtaining a degree? Today when all the educated young people are not getting employment, they should join co-operative activities which could lead to their socio-economic upliftment without any discrimination of caste, creed, poor, rich, male or female.
Releasing a booklet titled “Yuva Path” for the ” Youth Cooperative Seminar – 2022 ” , DGM of NABARD and the Guest of Honour of the Seminar S R Jaggi guided the participants of the Seminar about various schemes of the development of rural and cooperative activities.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the Seminar Ganpat Patel President and Patron – in – Chief of Ganpat University, Mehsana stated that “ youth is the asset of India. You pursue the study as you desire, but always be a good human being and if you will be a noble human being, you will be in high demand ”.
Speaking as the Chief Guest of the Seminar, Ajay Ummat Editor-in-Chief Gujarati Daily ” Navgujarat Samay ” told the young participants of the Seminar that “ you young people are fortunate because today the entire world looks at India with hope and you are in the golden period of India.
Others who spoke included Anil Karanjkar, Vivek Trivedi, and Sanjay Raval. Dr. Rajendra Trivedi, Executive Officer, Gujarat State Co-operative Union proposed a Vote of Thanks on this occasion.
