Nabrad Chairman G R Chinatala was all praise for Andhra Pradesh-based Krishna District Central Cooperative (KDCC) Bank for the bank’s proactive services for the members of the bank. Chintala exhorted other co-ops to follow the model being practiced by the KDCCB.
On the occasion Nabard Chief also inaugurated locker facility at its regional office located in Vijayawada. In a bid to give world-class services to its customers, Andhra Pradesh-based Krishna District Central Cooperative (KDCC) Bank launched the locker facility at its regional office located in Vijayawada recently.
The bank has installed 560 lockers at the cost of around Rs 50 lakh. The unique feature is that the locker facility at this site would be available for the customers from 6:00 AM to 10:00 P.M.
The locker facility was inaugurated in the presence of State Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu, Principal Secretary (Cooperation) Madhusudan Reddy, KDCC Bank Chairman Nageswara Rao Tanneeru, APCOB Chairman Mallela Jhansi Rani, MD Srinath Reddy, few local MLAs and others.
Talking to Indian Cooperative the bank Chairman said, “We have installed the 560 lockers at our regional office and it is marketed by Godrej Company. The facility is available for our customers at low rates”.
“There are 58 branches of the bank across the district and in all branches, we are providing a safe deposit locker facility but this is unique and big in comparison to the lockers installed at branches. The area is under CCTV surveillance”, he claimed.
On the occasion, the ATM was also inaugurated which is being installed at the premises of the regional office of the bank.
Krishna DCCB is the biggest DCCB in the State of A.P. not only in terms of number of branches (58 Brs.) and number of PACS (425 PACS after restructuring), but also in terms of deposits (Rs 2707.72 cr as of 31.03.2021), advances ( Rs 4451.63 cr as of 31.03.2021) and business levels ( Rs 7159.35 cr)
The bank has won the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)’s “Best Performance Award” – 6 times during 1995-96 to 1998-99 (4 times), 2000-2001, and 2013-14 in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
