Cooperators of Bihar are active mitigating miseries in the wake of Corona Virus. They are not only contributing to govt funds but also doing whatever they can do by distributing safety items and feeding the poor.
In the present crisis situation, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh seems to have emerged as a very active leader in the cooperative sector. Nowadays Singh and his team are busy distributing soaps, masks and biscuits in scores of villages of Bihar.
Every morning the employees deployed for the work collect the items from Sunil’s residence at Dumari Buzurg Village in Sonepur block in Saran district of Bihar and distribute them in different villages in the district.
Besides, Singh is toying with the idea of making a kitchen for feeding the needy. Sunil Singh will personally meet the expenses of the kitchen, as he told to Indian Cooperative.
Talking to Indian Cooperative correspondent, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh said, “On a daily basis, we distribute soaps, masks, and packets of biscuits in the nearby villages close to my residence. So far, we have distributed these items to over 20k people and spent around Rs 6.5 lakh. The whole distribution is going on at my personal expense”, he added.
Singh further said, if the duration of lockdown is extended then I am planning to make a kitchen to feed the needy. In this kitchen we can feed over 400 people at a time with rice and dal”, he said while discussing his future plans.
Reports of several other co-operators doing their bit in the state are coming to our desk at regular intervals. Earlier, Biscomaun donated a sum of Rs 11 lakh towards the CM Relief Fund. Biscomaun Chairman and his wife also made small contributions, stressing the need to contribute whatever one can.

Biscomaun Chairman has also urged Chairmen of PACS in the state to contribute Rs 1,000 each to the PM Relief Fund. There are reports of them coming forward to contribute to mitigate the tragedy.
