The Supreme Court on Wednesday maintained a status quo on a petition filed by Vipul Chaudhary challenging the Gujarat High Court order. Last week, the high court had allowed a no-confidence motion moved by the majority of the members of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF) against him.
Maintaining a status-quo on the matter, the Supreme Court ordered that the implementation decision has not been interfered with as of now and the matter was posted for listing after two weeks.
“The status quo has been ordered by the Supreme Court. So, there can’t be any appointment of new chairman of GCMMF till the next hearing,” said a source.
However, at the same time, the court did not interfere with the proceedings regarding the implementation of the order of removal of the GCMMF Chairman.
