Milk revolution in Goa!

monhar parikarGoa Animal Husbandry Minister Lakshmikant Parsekar has urged the center to set up another milk cooperative union as the existing union aka Goa Dairy is not able to cater to the needs due to a big surge in milk production in the state.

Dairy development in Goa has been rapid and the state has begun producing 82 thousand litre of milk daily.

The success could be attributed to various milk development schemes carried out in the state. Goa is expected to produce about a lakh litre of milk a day soon.

Experts say putting the second milk cooperative union in place will only sustain the current trend in dairy development in Goa.
