The squabbles within the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation have not come to an end yet. In the beginning of December a no-confidence motion has been passed by a majority of the GCMMF board against Vipul Chaudhary, the organisation’s chairman.
The motion, however, could not be implemented without the High Court`s permission. Now Mr. Chaudhary has sought time to reply. The High Court has ruled to hear the matter next week.
Most of the GCMMF board members have supported the move against the present chairman. They have taken a dim view of his leadership and made a slew of allegations against the chairman challenging his ability to manage affairs in the interest of the organisation.
According to the board members, Mr. Chaudhary’s politics have seriously threatened the interests of lakhs of milk producers in Gujarat.
It is worth mentioning that the GCMMF board had earlier been permitted by a division bench of the High Court to debate the no-confidence motion against Mr. Chaudhary.
