Demand for the resignation of Animal husbandry and dairy Minister Awadhpal Singh Yadav was repeated on Thursday in Uttar Pradesh assembly by the Opposition members of Samajwadi Party.
Besides issue of his controversial remark against Shivpal Singh Yadav and his family, charges of corruption in the Pradeshiya Cooperative Dairy Federation were also cited as reasons for his immediate dismissal.
The leader of the Opposition reiterated his charges of corruption in the Pradeshiya Cooperative Dairy Federation holding the Minister responsible for it and said that he
should resign.
The Minister, however, charged the Samajwadi Party with targeting him since the past three days, branding him as corrupt and refused to apologize, triggering anti-government
slogans by SP members.
