Gujarat cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, the organisation that owns the well-known Amul brand, has once again begun using its theme song ‘mero gaam kathapare’ after more than three decades.
The cooperative giant has also made available a video on the market that shows the transformation the rural India has of late experienced.
The theme song had been inspired by the renowned filmmaker Shyam Benegal’s flick manthan that had been a a great success in the 70s.
Originally sung by singer Preeti Sagar, the new version of the song can be heard in the popular playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice.
The theme song in its latest incarnation would be available on FM radio and digital media as well.
According to GCMMF MD R S Sodhi through the changed version of the theme song the cooperative giant has aimed at bringing Bharat and India together.
The Indian milk scene watchers are of the view that playing of the latest version of the theme song with its visuals of manthan set against the background of the white revolution will famously click with the young urbanized generation.
