The high profile visitors were warmly received by the cooperative major Chairman Jethabhai Patel and Managing Director R S Sodhi. Later talking to Indian Cooperative GCMMF MD R.S. Sodhi said the Bhutanese Prime Minister sought help from the GCMMF in acquiring about 2, 000 cows of jersey and HF breed for farmers in the Himalayan kingdom.
The dignitaries were highly impressed with the milk cooperative movement and its contributions to the Indian economy.
Paying glowing tributes to Sardar Patel and Dr Vergese Kurien the guests from the neighboring country described Sardar patel as ”a giant among men ” and Dr. Vergese Kurien ”an inspiration to people the world over”.
Several local Indian dignitaries including Gujarat cabinet minister Ramanlal Vora , Parliament Member from Anand, Dilip Patel, MLA Sanjay Patel and others interacted with the Bhutanese delegation.
